Now and again, we’re likely to come across someone who tries their best to sound clever, even if they’re not the sharpest tool in the box. They’ll find a way to bamboozle us by using a litany of buzzwords in the hope that they can pretend to know what they’re talking about.
Fortunately, it seems that many office workers are able to cut through their charade and know straight away when they hear even one piece of meaningless business jargon. As displayed in this infographic, workers all over the country expressed their displeasure with certain phrases.
One that particular irked us was ‘blue sky thinking’, which doesn’t really mean anything. As for alternatives to jargon, many office workers would like to see more plain speaking at work, something we definitely agree with! Also, there are plenty of people who want to see jargon banished from the office for good!
